Cedric Bragg
He has extensive knowledge in leading diverse workforces to oversee large cross functional projects with multiple Agencies, utilizing a balanced combination of superior project management skills, broad technical expertise, and outstanding business sense. He is also a leader in benchmarking, capacity planning, and cross-functional team collaboration with a proven track record to assess processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement process improvement solutions at leverage points to enhance productivity. His career focus has been on streamlining Agency IT operations, minimizing costs, and maximizing efficiencies and effectiveness and his goal is to continually seek challenges that offer him the opportunity to apply his vast range of knowledge and experience, and to expand his leadership and management skills.
Prior to coming on board as the ACIO for Departmental Administration, Cedric served as the Chief of Staff for the Deputy Chief Information Officer of Operations for 2 years overseeing and managing USDA’s IT Operations for network and infrastructure operations, end user support, and data center operations.
Prior to that, Cedric was the Branch Chief for OCIO-ITS-Washington Communications and Technology Services for 6 years leading reform to restructure IT service delivery to an enterprise approach for the Department and his customers. Cedric also served 18 years with the Rural Development Agency as a technician, systems engineer, and project manager for their help desk, network operations, and applications infrastructure. During his career at USDA, Cedric has provided leadership in implementing innovative IT solutions for several Program Areas that increased end user productivity, enhance systems security, streamlined data center operations, and excelled in superior customer service for USDA.
Cedric graduated from Bowie State University with a B.S. in Sociology and lives in Prince George’s County, MD with his wife, daughter, and son.
