OCIO has the primary responsibility for the supervision and coordination of the design, acquisition, maintenance, use, and disposal of information technology by USDA agencies.

The Office of the Chief Information Officer has a mission of serving the information needs for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. OCIO will support achievement of USDA’s diverse mission areas by offering agile, world-class technology solutions to its stakeholders and applying innovative approaches
