Office of Congressional Relations

OCR serves as the USDA's liaison with Congress. OCR works closely with members and staffs of various House and Senate Committees to communicate the USDA's legislative agenda and budget proposals.

Office of Congressional Relations (OCR) serves as the Department's liaison with Members of Congress and their staffs.

OCR works closely with members and staffs of various House and Senate Committees including the House Agriculture Committee and the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry to communicate USDA's legislative agenda and budget proposals.

Within OCR is the Office of External and Intergovernmental Affairs (EIA) which serves as the liaison to elected and appointed officials of State, county, local, and Tribal governments. The office also serves as a liaison to USDA stakeholders.
