Discrimination Financial Assistance Program

Under Section 22007 of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), USDA has provided $2 billion in financial assistance to farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners who reported discrimination in USDA farm lending prior to 2021.

This webpage redirects from the program's original website at 22007apply.gov, so that the public can continue to access information about the program.

DFAP applications were accepted from July 7, 2023, to January 17, 2024. Award decisions were announced July 31, 2024 and there will not be another application window. It was a one-time program authorized by Congress. Any request to collect a fee in exchange for filing a new application is a scam.
