REGStats

Summary

The USDA Race, Ethnicity, and Gender Program Statistics query tool, known as REGStats, is an official tool of the United States Department of Agriculture making program application and participation rate data available to the public on the Internet.

For each covered program, the dashboard provides four tables of summary information at the state and county level about the annual number of individuals and entities who applied and/or participated.

Agencies include:

In addition, the tool provides information from the Census of Agriculture, which is collected by the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) every five years, most recently in 2022.

For more information about how this information is collected, calculated, and displayed, please read the Data Guide (PDF, 849 KB) attached to the dashboard.

Data

The REGStats tables include the number of applicants and participants, by fiscal year, for USDA programs available to agricultural producers and landowners, categorized by race, ethnicity, and gender.

Program Participants, State-Level

Program Applicants, State-Level

Program Participants, County-Level

Program Applicants, County-Level

It is highly recommended to filter the table to a single state, program, and/or fiscal year to speed up processing time.

The tables allow you to filter that data by Fiscal Year, State/County, and/or Program.

Notes:

  • Race and ethnicity percentages are reported together, which makes it possible for an individual to be counted in more than one race/ethnicity category. Accordingly, displayed race/ethnicity percentages may add up to more than 100%. Users should use the summary totals provided at the county and state level as the denominator in any calculations.
  • To protect data privacy of program users, any value <6 has been redacted and replaced with the value '-9999' or the text ‘Redacted’
