Shayle Shagam


Shayle Shagam is the livestock, poultry, and dairy analyst for USDA’s World Agricultural Outlook Board and has served as the Department’s has served as the Department’s Chairperson of the Interagency Commodity Estimates Committee for meat and dairy since 1999.

Prior to joining the World Agricultural Outlook Board, he worked for 12 years as an international livestock analyst responsible for red meat trade forecasts and animal product trade issues. He has a bachelor’s in agricultural economics from the University of Illinois and an master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University.
