USDA Vendor Outreach Program

The Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) sponsors a series of Small Business Vendor (VOS) community outreach sessions. The purpose of these sessions is to provide the small business community the opportunity to meet with the OSDBU Specialists to discuss their capabilities and learn of potential procurement opportunities. OSDBU Specialists are located in each contracting office and are responsible for carrying out the small business program in their respective agencies. The information on the following pages show in broad categories types of goods and services that USDA agencies procure in support of their programs, the various agency contracting activities, the major groups of products and services purchased and the agency contact(s). Vendors must schedule an appointment in advance, with the individual Specialist(s). A listing of Specialists and their telephone numbers is provided. Appointments are limited to 15 minutes to allow all vendors an equal opportunity to introduce their company.

Whitten Building Directions

The following are directions to USDA’s Jamie L. Whitten Building, Patio, located at Jefferson Davis Drive, S.W. Metro access is available. The Smithsonian stop on the Blue/Orange Line will take you to USDA. To get to the Jamie L. Whitten Building, take the Mall exit, turn right on Jefferson Davis Drive, and come to the center entrance of the USDA Jamie L. Whitten Building. You will need to provide a form of identification to enter the building, driver’s license, etc.

South Building Directions

The following are directions to USDA’s South Building, located at 1400 Independence Avenue, S.W., Washington, DC. Metro access is available. The Smithsonian Stop on the Blue/Orange Line will take you to USDA. To get to the South Building Cafeteria meeting rooms, take the Independence Avenue exit, turn left, walk to Wing 3 of the South Building and enter the building at the Wing 3 Visitor’s Entrance. You will need to provide a form of identification to enter the building, driver’s license, etc.

It is anticipated that the sessions will be scheduled on a monthly basis. Please check the website periodically for the specific date. Any changes will be posted to the website. There is no cost to attend.
