To join the U.S. Food Waste Challenge, simply provide information about the activities you will undertake in the next year to reduce, recover, and recycle food waste in the United States. We will post these activities on the USDA website.
Individuals' commitments, though very important to the goal of reducing, recovering, and recycling food waste, cannot be posted as part of the U.S. Food Waste Challenge. You can still do your part!
Join the EPA Food Recovery Challenge at http://www.epa.gov/smm/foodrecovery/. Participants in the EPA Food Recovery Challenge can become members of the U.S. Food Waste Challenge simply by virtue of their participation in the Food Recovery Challenge. No additional forms are necessary! Current EPA Food Recovery Challenge participants with active goals should contact EPA's Helpline at 800-EPA-WISE (372-9473) or email@example.com to have their name listed on the U.S. Food Waste Challenge website and identified as a participant in both challenges. Newly enrolling EPA Food Recovery Challenge participants simply check the box indicating that they would like to be listed as U.S. Food Waste Challenge member.
Your submission will go through a brief screening process to ensure that all of the necessary information is complete before posting on the U.S. Food Waste Challenge website. At that point, membership is complete!
